The EatSmart Precision Voyager Luggage Scale truly is very easy to use. I clipped the buckle around my luggage handle, being sure to let the strap hang loosely below the scale (or reading will not be accurate). Pushed the on/off button and waited for it to register at zero, and selected lbs. as my measurement unit (you can also choose kgs.). Then I lifted my luggage by gripping the scale with 2 hands. The scale beeps and you are done! Please be sure to put your luggage down before you read the scale. No need to try to read the printout while you are still holding your luggage. BUT, the display only stays on for 20 seconds so you will need to read it right away. It has an automatic turn-off after 20 seconds to conserve battery life.
